Registration of Baptism
Proper Authority: The registrar of the place of Baptism.
If the baptism takes place in a different place than the place of birth, the registration must be made to the registrar of the place of baptism, who, after having issued the relevant report of baptism, conveys within ten (10) days a copy of the report to the registrar of the place of birth.
Supportive papers:
Certificate by the priest that baptized the child.
Procedure:
According to the report, the baptism is listed at the birth certificate.
Obliged to declare the baptism are:
Whoever is baptized at the age of 14 or over.
The father, mother or whoever has custody of the child.
The godfather.
Blood relatives up to the third degree (the closest prevails).
Deadline:
Within ninety (90) days after the day that the baptism took place.
